1. Government Launches National Drug Registry Under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission

New Delhi: Union Health Minister J. P. Nadda has launched a unified Drug Registry under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). The initiative aims to standardize drug-related information across India by creating a single digital database of medicines.

The Drug Registry will provide unique identification for medicines, improve interoperability between healthcare systems, and ensure accurate drug information is available to hospitals, pharmacies, healthcare providers, and patients. The initiative is expected to strengthen digital healthcare infrastructure, improve prescription accuracy, and support efficient healthcare delivery across the country.

2. India and Saudi Arabia Sign MoU on Water Resource Management

New Delhi: India and Saudi Arabia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in water resource management.

The agreement focuses on sharing technical expertise, promoting sustainable water management practices, improving irrigation systems, groundwater conservation, wastewater treatment, and adopting advanced technologies for efficient water usage. 3. Income Tax Return Filing Deadline for FY 2025-26

The Income Tax Department has announced that the last date to file ITR-1 and ITR-2 for the Financial Year 2025-26 (Assessment Year 2026-27) is July 31, 2026.

Taxpayers are advised to file their returns before the deadline to avoid penalties, interest, and delays in processing refunds. Early filing also helps prevent last-minute technical issues on the income tax portal.
